EMPOWERING THE TEAM
Every leader organizes their leadership structure differently, and to different results. Shortly after becoming chair of DA Australia, Jasper decided to unleash leaders at all levels in order to allow good ideas to be implemented while also making the whole team feel valued. Local leaders have been able to cater to the needs and desires of their local memberships while initatives at the national level such as virtual meet-ups move along quickly thanks to this approach. As RVC, Jasper won't be anybody's boss, but their partner in the initatives that work best for their respective country committee, including as an active participant where required.
EFFICENT SPENDING
DA Australia has ambitious goals to achieve on a very limited budget. Every cent we spend could be used elsewhere to fund a different effort or a future campaign. As Chair of DA Australia, Jasper found cost-saving measures that saved between half and two-thirds of the anticipated initial costs of different GOTV strategies without compromising on volume or quality. These measures allow us to better plan for the future. As RVC, Jasper stands ready to assist all country committees with finding the best ways to make their funds go further.
EXPERIENCED AND FRESH
As a country committee chair, Jasper understands the systems and strucutres around the organization. This alone is not a unique quality, but when mixed with his knowledge of modern campaign techniques and strategies, it makes him uniquely qualified to lead DA Australia into the future. He has led digital campaigns in the past, and understands the current political atmosphere, technologies, and social media landscape in 2025.
STATESIDE RELATIONS
Beyond relationships within the region or even Democrats Abroad, Jasper has an incredibly strong network within the wider Democratic Party that he is unafraid to utilize in order to bring the issues and priorities of you and of Democrats Abroad into the wider conversation. Jasper's personal relationships with politicians and leaders back home means that your influence extends further than just within our organization alone.
STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP
In the 2024 cycle, DA Australia had 4 people serve as its chair. As such, much of the planning for our 2024 GOTV activities was stunted and underdeveloped when Jasper was elected chair in March of 2024. Despite this, Jasper quickly rallied the team, and successfully delivered multiple GOTV efforts, including texting and Google Ads, two techniques which proved very successful and had never been done by DA Australia before.
